The Power of Fire

ONE FLAME AND THE WIND

A single spark was all it took. Maybe an act of arson, maybe a never forgotten cigarette, but maybe and even consider this: one flame and the wind.

Nature has a curious habit of wreaking her revenge on us when we deny her, she is after all our mother.

We denied her and built every where and cheek by jowl — not allowing her to breathe.

And when we have exhausted our planet, where do we go? My father who was involved in space research said “Mars”. He’s dead.

I have survived floods, dogs in floods, fires, but nothing like this.We recently flooded, we did not lose our home.

We (Lurcher and Husband) are safe and our flood was not life-threatening.

The power of water is immense, but the power of fire?

This is existential and probably deserved by us all.

Where do they, the homeless, displaced people, go?

This is only a fire that was predicted, but it is also sign of our disdain for the planet.
